[personal profile] lyd posting in [community profile] fandom20in20

→ You must have signed up to participate in this round.
→ Icons should be: no more than 40kb, 100x100pixels, not animated & PG-13.
→ Your icons must be new and made specifically for this challenge & they must be yours.
→ Icons can be posted here or linked to at a journal/community of your choice, your post will have to remain public until the round ends.
→ Post 3 teaser icons before the cut or link.
→ The icons must fit your claim.
The tagging system? Feel free to use the tags round: eight, entries: round eight, participant: yourusername, claim: yourclaim, but either if you tag or not I will be tagging so don't worry too much about it.
→ Please, do try to comment on your fellow icon makers' posts! You missed who posted and who didn't post? You're not feeling up to going back over X number of entries to find that submission? Go to the signed up list, there you will find the completed sets with links to their individual entries in the commmunity.
→ If you need examples or something isn't clear enough ask in the comments, I prefer not to give visual examples so as not to limit your imaginations.
→ Do make sure the entry subject says "Round Nine: NameOfYourClaim"

01. Going Quiet → Hush icon. No text whatsoever.
02. Transition → This icon is all about the extremities. Hands or feet. One or the other, even both if you prefer to do so.
03. Requiem → If you were to walk away, what would you miss the most of this fandom? Or if you prefer it what would your character/person (in/or your claim) would miss if they were to walk away?!
04. Marbury → POP ART icon. Just make your icon look like it was part of the POP ART style.
05. Night Five → Arrow, your icon must feature an arrow of any kind.
06. Privateers → Blue icon.
07. In the Room → Your icon must be 'inside' as in opposite to 'outside'. What inside entails? that's up to you, from a box to a vehicle, going through rooms and whole buildings.
08. Game On → games. any table/board game is valid, any reference to any game will work. You want to use a chess reference? monopoly figurines? This one is quite a 'free & extremely wild interpretation', from the small image of a queen of chess, to your characters playing cards, a hat and an iron (<- monopoly figurines) side by side, a pair of dices, a ladder even, anything you can associate with a table game will be valid. Just add the association through stock images, text or the original image of your claim playing.
09. Two Cathedrals → What's the soundtrack of your claim? What's the 'one-line' of your character? The text in this icon must be something that defines your claim somehow. It might be something they continuously repeat, the official soundtrack/lyrics of the main song, a song or quote you associate with your claim even if it has nothing to do with the claim in an official way.
10. Galileo → Round edges. It can be a circle or it can be a square with round edges, or anything in between or further to the side, so far as there are no edges. Because I foresee this question: what about if I make the image a 75x75 circle and fill the rest in one single colour, do I have to have those edges rounded too? No, you don't. So far as there are round edges, if you want to fill in the rest with one colour you may. [just in case. you may save your icons as .gif and thus have the transparent remain transparent if that is what you wish for, since .png and .jpg files do fill in the transparent with white]

CATEGORY: The West Wing
5 icons - 5 different actions, your choice which ones you want to show us, there are no limits. Feel free to rewrite "Category #" with the action of your icon.

The last remaining 5 icons are for you to do what you want with them (as the name indicates, it's your choice!).

Oh MAN, I think I love these. Some might be interesting, but theme 9? There is only one quote from that movie that applies. *giggles* I'm gonna have fun with this.

For #6 do you mean you want the entire icon colored a shade of blue, or can we show a "blue" emotion like sadness?

The themes are great, but I think they're all quite 'light' for my claim. XD I think I'll have fun with the category though, and I've already got Two Cathedrals planned out.

Haha, np! I'm already thinking to myself do I want to try twisting the themes to a darker mood. :P It would be fun and it would be a challenge to make a dark mood popart icon, for example.

Er. In games, does it have to be a "table" game or can it be a sports game?
