from the themes my favorites are obsession, ecstatic, river and pumpkin your category set looks great, I love the fact you went for this image because omg! it's just kind of 'half the face of someone' - it's got to be far harder than full face (you can play with which side you crop on XD) and yet you manage to make 5 original icons that don't overstep and look completely different and unique. My favs are #1 and #5. I really liked the originality of the first one and the last one is just perfect fitting word for that image. and the coloring and strength of the dark black vs the 'soft' warmer colors. just brilliant (imo)
your ac set is really bold and I like it like that, black&white and dashes of blood red. makes not only the bounds but the text in those icons pop up more than if you've done anything else to those icons, great execution of a very interesting idea =)
