About that tag, I bet I know what happened. I had something similar happen to me, and it turned out to be a tr tag that I'd either forgotten to open or close, so double check that all your row tags are there. In my case, I kept forgetting to open rows, but then closed them, and the table displayed nicely, but I got all the td tags showing.
