Just to be sure: since my first choice is a manga & anime series which also has other official art & fanart, do I have to use all of them if I claim just Gintama? Or can I use, for example, just the anime and fanart even if the claim is still the same?

you don't have to use it all but you must claim what you will use, that way both you and I know what, more or less, to expect of your icons. It's highly different the scope of just claiming the anime official art than the anime, manga and all fanart. There's no min. or max. of what you can or may claim, just to let me know so I can know what to expect (<- more than... ->) & should someone commenting after you want to claim something related to Gintama they would be able to know that (i.e:) you claimed anime, manga & manga fanart but you didn't claim the anime fanart. So maybe they might go for it - who knows?! they might not have thought of it but upon seeing your claim they have the idea... weirder things have hapened ;)
